SXSW: The artists flying the flag for Australia and New Zealand (so far) for 2014!

SXSW is mere months away now and yet we're still being wowed by new artist announcements, film premiere reveals and much more. the AU will be heading to Austin in March once again to bring you coverage of everything SXSW but before we start our countdown, we thought we'd take a look at the bands and artists who are making the trip as well from Australia and New Zealand.

At this stage, there are 43 Australian artists who've accepted their invitations to perform at the SXSW Music Festival, while three of our NZ cousins have jumped onboard as well. More artists are expected to sign their contracts and officially become part of the festival as well - something we're excited to learn more about. Of the announced acts, there is a great spread - whether it's established Australian bands (Angus and Julia Stone, Boy and Bear etc) or members of this new wave of hot Aussie talent (Wave Racer, The Preatures, Touch Sensitive), we're set to be representing the diverse nature of our industry as it is standing now, that's for sure. Take a look through the names, revisit or become introduced to their tunes, no doubt we'll be hearing more from them as the year plays out.
